Before digicore had a name, midwxst was already making it. He builds songs from the inside out: beats, melodies, and lyrics—all traced back to a teenager learning FL Studio in his bedroom, just outside Indianapolis. By 2021, that bedroom production was reshaping the internet. Tracks like "Trying" and "Care" weren't just singles, they were blueprints. Midwxst and a small group of friends, scattered across Discord servers and Minecraft worlds, were quietly inventing a genre that would come to be known as digicore.
